50 High Street

The property comprises retail accommodation over basement, lower ground, ground and mezzanine levels with four upper floors which have been stripped to shell and core and are currently vacant.

The property occupies arguably the most prominent retailing locations on the high street as it benefits from double frontage on to the High Street and Arundel Gate, two of Sheffield’s busiest destinations. Sheffield is located approximately 33 miles south of Leeds, 38 miles east of Manchester and 175 miles north of London.

Tellon secured planning permission for the conversion and extension of the building to create 330 student beds above the retail, which has now expired. The scheme retained the facades of this iconic building and the retail at the lower levels whilst adding an additional two upper floors.

We are excited to announce that we have exchanged contracts with Lidl GB to take a lease of one of our retail units at 50 High Street, Sheffield and we look forward to welcoming them to the building soon.

The unit Lidl will occupy is in a prominent location on the High Street and we believe their arrival will drive up footfall to the building, providing a boost to our existing occupiers, as well as increasing the attractiveness of a potential redevelopment of the upper floors.
